Hey everyone, Sharp here!
Following the announcement of the Sharp Analog Fightstick (SAF), I wanted to have a place for people following the project to keep up and for any questions about the product to be answered.

Let's start by introducing the Sharp Analog Fightstick and all of it's features, both implemented and planned.
- Hall Effect Analog Japanese Joystick (Octo-gate)
- Robust Sanwa Buttons
- Highly Moddable Metal Chassis
- Native GameCube Support
- PC Support
- Swappable Motherboard / Firmware (in development)
- Xbox Series / PS5 Support (in development)
- Hair Trigger Lever Actuation (in development)
Currently, the project is at a place where we can launch with just GameCube and PC support. The bones of this project and analog technology I developed have stood for years in the hands of hundreds globally. The largest hurdle we are running into is making enough units to bring the cost of a full arcade stick down to be a reasonable price.
The platform is built on a custom designed metal chassis, allowing for a variety of mods, add-ons, and customizability. All buttons are a standard 24mm, with currently two layouts available to select from. If more panel layouts are requested, we will make those as well if there's enough demand.
Arcade sticks will make their way out to everyone in Aug/Sep if we don't hit any setbacks. This is an ambitious goal with our manufacturing and development timeline. Though most of our manufacturing partners are set, parts of the project are still floating and the supply chains in place are untested for our scale of operation.
Regarding the planned features, my team and I are working on bringing more features like tunable actuation distances on the lever and PS5 support to make a new tool for those in the broader FGC as well. The first to be completed will be the swappable motherboard, as that will allow for a wider array of controller boards to be used in the SAF.
I appreciate you all for reading through this devlog. I'll make as many updates as I can with regards to progress, timeline, and the current stages of development.
